theskinnyblondegirl 's Thoughts:

Can you feel it? Spring is finally in the air! To celebrate, I've been doing a little spring cleaning - both literally and metaphorically. I've made room for my lighter spring clothes in my closet (like this casual spring outfit), and for saying "Yes" more often in my everyday life.

Like this top, for example. Normally, I'm a black/grey/denim kind of girl. I don't often wear light colours - and rarely so sleeveless! But I loved it so much I had to say, "yes!" Same goes for the loafers. I can't remember the last time I wore metallic shoes. Seriously! But they were oh-so comfy and really affordable ($39, anyone?) so I said "yes" to them too.

We snapped these photos strolling around Liberty Village on Sunday. Even though our neighbourhood is right in the midst of downtown Toronto, it has such a different feel to it. It's laid back, more casual and really relaxing. It's filled with old factories and warehouses that make for really awesome backgrounds for photography - which is definitely a plus. ;)

I love the open feel to the top I'm wearing. It's a mix of ladylike and playful, with a high neckline in the front and a panel of sheer lace at the back. It's going to be really fun to play with in summer. I can already picture a bright pink bandeau underneath of it.

The scarf is one of my proudest purchase as of late. It's made in Italy and typically retails for $80+, but I snagged it for $29 if you can believe it. It feels very Alexander McQueen and the colours go with just about everything I own.

You might have noticed on Instagram I changed up my hair a little bit. I've added lowlights throughout and will probably do a few more the next time I'm in the salon. I, like the rest of the world, was inspired by Cara Delevingne and her lovely natural-looking hair. It looks a bit darker when I'm indoors (check out my Instagram post here) but looks lighter in these photographs.

Stay tuned for another post featuring a gorgeous DKNY clutch I also received from Marshalls. It's sky blue and the perfect size for patio season. Mmm!
